Protect Yourself from Man In The Middle Attack

To Prevent Man In The Middle (MITM) attacks requires several practical steps on the part of users and the combination of encryption and verification methods for applications.

Man In The Middle Prevention

For users

  • Avoid Free WiFi connections and WiFi connections that aren’t protected with the password.
  • Use a VPN while Connected to Free Wifi.
  • Not use public Wifi networks (e.g., hotels, school, college, coffee shops and etc.) when conducting sensitive transactions.

For website operators

Secure communication protocols, including SSL, TLS and HTTPS, help decrease spoofing attacks by robustly encrypting and authenticating transmitted data. Doing so prevents the interception of site traffic and blocks the decryption of sensitive data, such as authentication tokens.
